Are you looking for Holiday Inn Sunspree Paradise Island in the Bahamas? The hotel no longer operates as a Holiday Inn. For several years it operated as the Paradise Island Harbour Resort and in 2012 was acquired by Warwick International Hotels. It re-opened in spring 2016 as the Warwick Paradise Island Resort, an all-inclusive adult-only resort, which means that it is no longer a family-friendly property.

One of the key perks here is that guests have complimentary access to the massive Aquaventure water park at Atlantis. Breakfast is included in the rate.

A third alternative for families visiting Paradise Island is Sunrise Beach Clubs and Villas, which offer one- to five-bedroom villas that feature multiple bathrooms, full kitchens, patios, and separate bedrooms and living areas with pullout sofabeds. Many units also feature a washer/dryer. This is a good laid-back choice for families who want a low-key beach vacation in contrast with the high energy of Atlantis.

Background: Holiday Inn Sunspree Paradise Island

Holiday Inn SunSpree Resorts was a spinoff brand Holiday Inn created in 1991. The properties were located in major resort areas and offered extras such as children's activities, spas, pools and gyms. The brand was discontinued in 2010 except for one property in Jamaica.

Located 14 miles from Nassau Int'l Airport on Nassau Harbor, the Holiday Inn Sunspree Paradise Island was a 12-story property with 246 guest rooms and resort-style amenities located on Paradise Island, a 685-acre island located just off the shore of the city of Nassau, which is itself located on the northern edge of the larger island of New Providence.

Holiday Inn Sunspree Paradise Island was a budget-friendly, all-inclusive property that was later acquired by another company and rebranded as the Paradise Island Harbour Resort.

Amenities included a large freeform pool, a snorkeling lagoon, and many daily activities for adults and children. Non-motorized water sports included kayaks, paddle boats, Jet Skis, parasailing, and more.

Warwick Paradise Island Resort

In 2012, the Paradise Island Harbour Resort was purchased by Warwick International Hotels, a hospitality company with 59 hotels in over two dozen countries. Warwick renovated the property from top to bottom and turned it into a luxury all-inclusive resort.

Overlooking Nassau Harbor, this refined, beachfront resort is a 6-minute walk from a ferry terminal, 3.5 km from Prince George Wharf and 4.2 km from the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas.

The renovated property now features 243 rooms and suites with modern decor, flatscreen TVs, coffee and tea makers, air conditioning, in-room safes, mini refrigerators, and complimentary wi-fi throughout the property.

The resort has three restaurants, plus a lobby bar and a pool bar. There's an also outdoor pool, as well as a fitness center.Golf is available to guests of Warwick at the nearby One & Only Golf Course.
